Jane Ivory.JPGJane Ivory is a prominent California-based fine art photographer known
for her compelling, high-contrast, black-and-white photography. Her artistic focus centers heavily on landscapes, the unique boundaries of urban environments, and pressing environmental issues. She
deliberately leaves people out of her frames to subtly comment on humanity's distinct footprint on the Earth.

She earned both her B.A. and M.A. in Painting from the University of California, Berkeley. Ivory has worked in museum education at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and managed prominent art spaces
as a gallerist and co-owner of the Ivory/Kimpton Gallery in San Francisco. While working as a gallery director, she directly handled prints by legendary photographers Ansel Adams and Imogen Cunningham. This profound experience inspired her to pivot away from painting and fully embrace photography as her primary creative medium.
